Each wine, a distinct garden, unfurls an aromatic odyssey that resonates with the nuances of its terroir. Jardins do Vinho’s mission is to impart to the consumer an authentic essence of the land, delivering moments of pure pleasure and refined sophistication.
🥂 Quinta da Lapa
An exceptional location and a unique terroir give Quinta da Lapa wines their distinctive freshness and remarkable ageing potential.
The estate’s history dates back to 1706, when D. Lourenço de Almeida acquired the Quinta N. Sra. da Conceição da Lapa. He selected the finest lands among the fertile hills east of the Montejunto mountain range, in what is today the Tejo wine region. Quinta da Lapa now covers nearly 100 hectares.
Combining vision and entrepreneurship, D. Lourenço set out to supply the thriving city of Lisbon with premium wines. To achieve this, he chose the highest point of his vast estate to build a manor with a chapel, agricultural facilities, and a large winery, dedicated to producing wines of outstanding quality.
Today, Sílvia Canas da Costa, an architect by training, owns and leads Quinta da Lapa. With passion and dedication, she carries forward the estate’s centuries-old legacy, crafting wines that embody both authenticity and the singular character of this historic terroir.
