Jardins do Vinho Jardim de Granite Encruzado 2019

Concept

In keeping with the winemaking tradition of the Dão, "Jardim de Granito" is produced on the slopes of Silgueiros, on granite-based soils, where the vines are surrounded by forests of oaks and pines. The wines are designed to express the elegance and gastronomic suitability of the region.

The harvest took place manually during the second week of September, in 20 kg boxes.

Tasting notes

Citrine yellow colour, clear and bright. Wine with a great aromatic intensity, featuring notes of yellow-fleshed fruits, such as peach and nectarine. Very intense attack on the palate in terms of aroma. Firm and well-integrated acidity. Very balanced and persistent finish.

Additional information

After pressing the whole grapes, the must was subjected to static decantation at low temperature for 24 hours. It was then transferred to a stainless steel tank where it fermented and matured. Considered a wine for ageing, it therefore has great potential for development in the bottle, thanks to the selection of a grape variety like Encruzado. Serve at a temperature between 10°C and 13°C.
