Quinta da Serradinha

Bio et Naturels

António Marques-da-Cruz produces his wines at Quinta da Serradinha, a family vineyard located on the limestone slopes of Serra d'Aire, near Leiria, Portugal. The region benefits from the cool climate of the Atlantic Ocean to produce wines with refreshing minerality and ageing potential. Towards the end of ripening in September, the humid Atlantic winds compensate for the dryness of the soil by preserving the primary aromas of the grapes, resulting in a more complex wine..

The organic production method, combined with the long Guyot pruning technique, produces a more concentrated grape, with a good balance between the quantity of bunches and the foliage. The harvest, carried out by experienced pickers who are familiar with the selection criteria of our vineyard, takes place from September to October depending on the grape varieties; the grapes are selected directly in the vineyard in 15 kg boxes. The winemaking process uses only the natural fermentation process of the grape, without the addition of any oenological products other than sulphur dioxide (SO2) for preservation purposes. The result is a wine that reflects its terroir, the conditions of the vineyard, and the climate. All wines are bottled without filtration or clarification..
