Grape Varieties: Aragonez, Trincadeira, and Alicante Bouschet
Region: Alentejo

Winemaking: Manual harvesting from different plots of Tapada located between 350 and 400 meters in altitude. Manual selection of the grapes, berry by berry, with full destemming and cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Post-fermentation maceration for 30 days, followed by aging in 300 and 525-liter barrels with spontaneous malolactic fermentation.

Aging: Aged for 12 months in Portuguese and French oak barrels. Bottled for 24 months. Recommended drinking period: 2021 to 2040.

Tasting Notes: Concentrated garnet color. Fresh and intense aroma with notes of wild berries, jam, balsamic, and leather. The palate is very smooth and rich, with elegant tannins and very balanced acidity. Dominant flavors of red fruits, chocolate, rock rose, and a slight mineral taste. Intense and complex finish with very persistent fruit and volume.
