Casa De Cello

Casa de Cello is a family business that has dedicated itself to the production of wine from its own vineyards for four generations.

It was in the 1980s that one of the owners, João Pedro Araujo, began to professionalize the activity of Casa de Cello. He reorganized the existing structure with the aim of implementing the best wine and oenological technologies, in order to enhance the expression of their terroirs in the wines.

Quinta da Vegia, located in the Dão region, near the village of Penalva de Castelo, currently has 20 hectares of vines. Its exploitation was followed by a careful selection of grape varieties - Touriga-Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela and Tinto Cão - in order to create the wines of Quinta da Vegia and Porta Fronha.

The Quinta de Sanjoanne, located in the heart of Entre-Douro and Minho, near Amarante, has undergone a complete restructuring of its vineyard. Currently, 14 ha of vines are managed, with the varieties Arinto, Alvarinho, Malvazia Fina, Chardonnay, Loureiro and Avesso, which give birth to the wines of Quinta de Sanjoanne and Leiras Mancas.
